Bird Vetch /Vicia cracca/

Bird vetch is a variable-looking plant species in the vetch genus. It is widely spread throughout Latvia, with individual specimens and groups growing in meadows, clearings, shrubs, forest edges, and various wastelands.

It is a perennial, medium to large-sized plant (20-130 cm) with a sprawling or climbing stem. The stem is covered with dense, appressed hairs. The flowers (1 cm) are blue or pink-violet and bloom from June to August.
