Ointments with greater plantain base are often prepared, possessing strong anti-inflammatory properties.

Extracts from greater plantain leaves have a calming effect and are known for their sleep-inducing properties, reducing blood pressure. Additionally, they have hemostatic, anti-inflammatory, and bactericidal qualities.
