
Hoary Plantain /Plantágo média/
It is a perennial, small to medium-sized (15-40 cm) plantain family plant. The leaves form a rosette, are broadly lanceolate, and hairy. The flowers are in a dense (2-4 cm) spike. The inflorescence is also covered with light, appressed hairs. Petals are pale pink to white. It blooms in June and July. Commonly found throughout Latvia - growing individually and in scattered groups in meadows, clearings, shrubs, and near human settlements.
