Snowdrop /Galanthus nivalis/

It is a plant of the amaryllis family. A perennial, small or tiny (7-20 cm) bulbous plant. It blooms from February to May.

It grows individually or in groups in lawns, wastelands, dumps, along roadsides, near gardens, and settlements. Snowdrops are also cultivated in gardens and flowerbeds. Snowdrops can be forced to bloom in winter, either in pots or low containers.

The plant is toxic! Its bulbs contain narcissine, and all parts of the plant contain galantamine.
