Solomon’s Seal /Polygonatum multiflorum/

Solomon’s seal is a perennial plant, 15-50 cm tall, with a smooth, cylindrical stem. The leaves are almost horizontally arranged. The flowers are white. This plant attracts ants and bees. The fruit is a greenish-black berry. It blooms in May and June. It grows in various-sized groups in deciduous, coniferous, and mixed forests, especially in riverbank ditches.

The plant is toxic, and its berries should not be consumed!

Solomon’s seal has many medicinal properties, acting as an anti-inflammatory, soothing, hemostatic, emetic, fever-reducing, blood-purifying, softening, covering, and other valuable properties. However, the plant is used only in traditional medicine.
