White Bedstraw /Galium album/
White bedstraw is a plant species in the bedstraw genus of the madder family. It is commonly found in Latvia, growing in various-sized groups in meadows, shrubs, forests, and wastelands. It blooms from late June to September.
Fresh white bedstraw is suitable for grazing by livestock. The plant's roots are used to obtain a dye that can color cotton fabric in shades of gray, and wool fabric in gray, red, violet, or orange.
