
White Sweet Clover /Melilotus albus/
It is very commonly found in Latvia. It grows individually and in groups of various sizes in dry wastelands, embankments, quarries, along roads, and railway edges.
It is a biennial, large (50-170 cm) member of the pea family. It blooms with white flowers from June to September. An excellent nectar plant, it yields 150-200 kg/ha of honey.
